In my opinion, to be Valedictorian means to be someone people count on and look to as not just a leader, but someone who will be there when you need them. They are someone who always looks for the optimistic perspective and have a willingness to be challenged. The reason I would love the opportunity to be Valedictorian is because I'm someone who wants to be there and be that person you can count on. I want to be challenged and work hard to make what we do as a graduating class amazing. I would like to be Valedictorian because it is a final opportunity to look over and see how far we have come, and to be there as we start this prosperous and exciting new chapter in our lives.

Outside of school:

- 11 years of karate with the Taneda Karate Dojo

- 4 different styles of dance at Dance City Academy

In school, my extracurriculars include:

- Dance, both inside and outside the timetable

- Jazz choir, Concert choir, and R&B band

- Leadership and Grad Council

- Theatre

My service includes:

- Helping at the 2018 and 2019 student orientations

- Helping to teach at my karate dojo

- Being a voluntary TA for Mr. Kafka and Ms. Grant during my spare

The importance and impact of karate:

Although all of my extracurriculars have impacted my life in so many ways, I feel like karate has impacted my life the most. After eleven years, karate has taught me many things but most importantly it's taught me to challenge myself. I've gained friendships and been taught discipline, respect, focus, and persistence. I was lucky enough to get the opportunity to represent not only my dojo, community, and province, but as well as my country; this is because of an International Championship, known as the Soke Cup. I competed in this with my team in the summer of 2019. This was the third time the Soke Cup has been to Canada and it was its first time being in our community of the Okanagan.

What I love about MBSS:

MBSS is unique in so many ways, but where it stands out is through the opportunities available to the student body. There are not many schools that offer hairdressing, firefighting, medieval armoury, and many more. What I love about MBSS is not only the opportunities but the relationships I have gained in my three years at MBSS. I feel as though without this school, I would not be who I am today and I would not have the friendships I have gained. The environment that MBSS has created is what makes our school unique; it's also the reason I love getting to be a part of our school.

Why do I deserve your vote?

People should vote for me because of my love and commitment for this school. Throughout my three years at Boucherie I spent time doing everything I could to help make our school a fun and welcoming place. My work with the school involved many areas: student orientations, leadership events, dance shows, and concerts. School has never been easy for me, but as I persevered through the years, learning many lessons that I can look back on as I move to the next chapter in life.
